This discussion space is a space for participants of the CJLL Winter School to introduce yourselves, share relevant background and interests, and connect with each other to foster collaboration, discussion, and peer networking throughout the programme.

In order to break the ice, I will start by introducing myself.

My name is Beatriz Felipe Pérez (Bea) and, as you know, I am coordinating the Winter School.

I am a co-founder of a small cooperative, CICrA Justicia Ambiental. You can find more information about our organization here: https://www.cicra.coop/. I am also a research associate at CEDAT–Universitat Rovira i Virgili (https://www.cedat.urv.cat/).

I have a strong interest in climate justice and, in particular, in (im)mobilities related to climate change.

I am looking forward to learning more about you!

    Best,

    Beatriz

      Hello Bea and everyone!

I’m Adriana Hipatia López Ramos (or just Adri! haha). I was born in Barcelona, but I’m currently based in Valencia. My main interest is climate communication in writing and documentary film.

I recently graduated with a Master’s in Ecological Humanities (UPV + UAM), and my thesis was about ecofeminism as a lens to make climate documentaries more grounded and accessible, centred around local stories, community, and friendship.

Before that, I studied Fine Arts and English Literature, so I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. Recently, I’ve worked in the communication team for the festival ‘Cridem pel Clima’ (We Scream for the Climate), and in April, I’ll be working for HumansFest, a human rights film festival. In the meantime, I work teaching English, and I’m taking a screenwriting course, as well as this lovely one!

I’m really loving all the classes in this course, and I’d love to get to know you all more! My Instagram is @poladrize if anyone wants to get in touch 🙂

      Hugs,

      Adri
